Our World Tuesday 102715 - Preserved Cemetery

When the State Park near Muldoon was being developed,
this cemetery was preserved rather than moved.

One of the earliest families to settle in our county.

  1. it is a peculiar feeling walking in places like this one. I never know if I shall feel sorry or not ;)

  2. I don't know why, but I love places like this. Do you ever wonder how many graves you have walked on without knowing...of people from early settlement of America?

  3. I always enjoy a cemetery. Why? I couldn't even say. Nice to see this one has been preserved.

  4. I would hate to be moved from my place of rest. One day we were walking on a trail near the freeway in Tempe, Arizona. Tucked in a little spot between a large condo complex and the roaring freeway was an old cemetery. The only way to get to it was through a very rutted dirt road to a chain link fenced area. Too bad it didn't get more respect. - Margy
