Go Steelers!

The little Jotul woodburner
that keeps our family room toasty.

I've had this pumpkin for several years
and like it just as much as when it was new.

Quiet
A quiet corner
for meditation or reading a good novel.

Full
The RG's collection of marbles.
He usually finds them near whatever lake
he is frequenting with rod and reel.

Backyard Birds 101715 and State Park (updated)

The Robins are back out of hiding
to feast on the dogwood berries.

Then a flock of Cedar Waxwings
came along to duke it out with the Robins

On the other side of the house the new feeder has been found.

This silly Woodpecker spent more time
trying to ward off the Chick a Dees and Titmouse
than it did eating.

What a ruckus!

Last week I had the closest encounter
with  my pal the Osprey
of the whole summer.

Good Fences - Carriage House - 101515

Last July I posted the fence at the Gibson House here.

Today's fence is the rest of the story.

Last Sunday once again we had breakfast at the B & A CafĂ© across the street. I remembered the page about the house included something about the carriage house at the back so snapped a shot or two of it on this trip.

Tunnels ran from the basement to the Carriage House
at the rear of the property to the Shenango River.
If only the walls could talk they would surely tell of a most unique individual, Dr. Gibson.
