Uh Oh

The view of our neighbor's roof
was pretty run of the mill.

Until last week when this bird
stopped for a break in flight

and we wondered where it was nesting.

And then yesterday . . . Uh Oh.

  6. Everyone is expressing what we have been mulling over as well.
When we saw it with the nesting material last week we didn't think it was going in the vent-a-ridge due to its size. But it was definitely coming out of there yesterday.
Our next thought was it was proceeding into the attic.
We shared the photos with the neighbor yesterday and they are just as mystified having heard no attic noises.
    We will continue to observe.

  8. Grackles are not known , I think , for being smart. We have lots of them in Texas, and although there are tons of trees and woods, and lakes, they usually chose the mall parking lot with a tiny tree and 10,000 birds on the same tree.

  9. Home is where you build it!

PS: I suspect the grackle may be a Starling.
