Love of Tapestry

The word tapestry derives from Old French,
meaning "to cover with heavy fabric".

It would seem that 'tapestry' is
woven (pun accidental) into my collections.

Here are Four Tapestry Thrifting Finds

And these two are for Traveling

This one carries my thrifting funds.

This one carries my trusty Kodak.

This one carries my mp3 player.

And this one is for whatnots.

This one's travels span two generations.

This one awaits it's maiden voyage.

Something that encourages me is this
We see the underside of our
life's tapestry from below. God sees
our life's completed tapestry from above.

One More Hat for Lucy

"Squirrel Hunter"

 He's in there.

I know he's in there.

Let me at him.

Which way did he go?

I KNOW he was in here.

Maybe next time, sigh.

Ever the hunter; but hasn't bagged one yet.

Proud PaPa

With his retirement from the U.S. Navy Airwing
on the horizon,
our Senior Chief wanted to share his experience with Dad.

Beautiful Skies at Sea
And what an experience to share -
father and son
cruising together on an aircraft carrier
 from Hawaii to San Diego.

Retiring in 2015 after 20 years.
Thank you for your service, Son.

Yep, One Proud Papa!
(and me too)

The Fence Remained

As I drove up Muldoon after a storm,
I said 'oh no'.
Say it isn't so.
But it was so.
The RG began the clean-up shortly thereafter.
He also determined that #2 was unstable as well.

Sad to see two tall soldiers go but never the less;
The Fence atMuldoon Remained.

The Mystery Bridge

This small stone bridge is special to me
as followers of my Family Research blog will soon find out
but why it was placed in this location is a mystery.
It is in a large local cemetery and can be viewed from the highway.
But it is located where few visitors would have occasion to frequent.
The stone mason was a friend and neighbor of my past generations
but I didn't ask the questions in their time.

I'd love for you to join me for my Share Your Cup Thursday Link Party!

Do You See Him?

This is the third design of the RG's gold fish pond over the years.
Never ending; always evolving.

Do you see Mr. Bullfrog?
He often wakes me in the morning.
And that's not a bad thing.

 A little closer.

There he is on 'Hank Heron's pad.

Even during major maintenance with no lily pads,
he remains in residence.
