Both sides of the coin (leaves)

Mosaic Monday 110215

Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor,
summer an oil painting
and autumn a mosaic of them all.

Shortfall Macro 110215

A bundle of Red Maple leaves that have fallen
but are not grounded.
Autumn asks that we prepare for the future
—that we be wise in the ways of garnering and keeping.
But it also asks that we learn to let go
—to acknowledge the beauty of sparseness.

Good Fences 102915

These are the fence photos from
our Saturday outing to the State Park.
Many of the leaves have fallen due to wind and rain.
A bright stand of poison sumac.

During the summer there are signs attached with info about
the wildlife in the area.

Frosty Morning

I was inspired by Judith's Monday post at Lavender Cottage to take a stroll outside
to see what our first frost had left behind.

I love that this looks like a variegated holly
whose leaves have permanent white borders.
But these borders were gone by noon with the bright shining sun.

Naturally our annuals are gone now but a 'first' frost
still brings beauty.

I'm saving another 'frosted confection' for tomorrow's "Good Fences" with Tex/Theresa.

North, East, West - wonder where South was?

While on a late jaunt to the State Park the foliage was at a peak.

You may note a second copyright label on some photos.
I am working on another blog devoted to the technical side as I hone my photography skills.
