Looking Past . . .

the Perfect.

Poppy blossom with a missing petal

New knowledge for me
Harmless flies and valuable pollinators, flower flies are incredibly convincing mimics of bees, wasps, and yellowjackets. Recognize them as true flies by their single pair of wings, short antennae, and flylike compound eyes.

Tweaking . . .

technique

This week I am thankful
to have discovered photography
and sharing what we capture with each other.

Today I read an article
on Macro and Simple photography.
Next thing I knew
it was one thing on top of another.

The Birds . . .

By-passed these this year.

This is not a Christmas deco.
Just the background I chose
for these holly berry left-overs

Around the Garden Pond on . . .

a rainy day in Western P. A.;
a good time to play atMuldoon.

I bought this macro lens a long time ago
but usually I just set my camera on 'auto', move in close,
and let it choose macro on its own.

But today seemed like a good time
to play with the lens.

Playing in the Water

What genre of photography are you drawn to?

While I find inspiration in them all,
I tend to lean toward Macro & Close-ups.
They may be separate categories
but with today's photo editing
they tend to 'crop' up together.

A few of my still lifes using the element of water.
