Workers At Risk

Today I am thankful for

grocery workers

as they continue to serve

providing fresh fruit

and the fruit of the spirit;

as we hold them in prayer

of whom our daughter is one.

being put in place at their registers.

We call them 'phones' but

it seems everyday I discover

something more this little COMPUTER can do.

Of course it will come as no surprise

that it is the wonder of the camera

that is occupying my time.

Instagram was a main factor in my decision

to upgrade to iP11.

I have an app on both my 

laptop and phone  

to create IG posts from my 

Canon camera photos and videos

for transferring to IG

since posting has to be with a phone.

Now I have 'discovered' YouTube tutorials

for using the iP11 camera,

which takes quality photos,

 to post directly from my iP11

Here is one from yesterday

But . . .

the big discovery is 

that my bluetooth keyboard 

works with my iP11

(never thought to try it before)

Thankful for So Many Things . . .

One of them is physical ability.

At my age I have some aches and pains, 

but I am still able to move about quite freely.

Case in point; I yet again re-arranged my sewing room.

Bear in mind that I arrange and re-arrange my home constantly. Its either a neurotic habit or I just simply enjoy the creativeness. (I choose creative ;)

Perhaps that is the exercise 

that keeps me mobile? (heavy furniture)

One thing that is always important is 

to have a good view from the window 

for birdwatching.

Photo-less; Yet Thankful . . .

Today I am thankful for a busy day out and about.

• Library for Family Research
• Jo Ann Fabric for, well, fabric
• Walmart for several things
• a phone call from the RG to meet him at Fortune Star Buffet for lunch.

I am thankful because for quite some time I had become a bit of a recluse and not going anywhere 

except when necessary.

A few weeks ago I said 'enough'.

Time Marches On . . .

with the beginning of a new month

August has arrived and the beginning 
of new decade for me 
is another month closer.

Today I am thankful for memories

Earlier this week I spent the morning 
with my 93 yr old aunt 
reviewing family history.

Looking back

And I was delighted when she entrusted me 
with a memoir of her childhood 
she had written several years ago.

It brings back happy memories of stories 
my cousins and I we were told 
throughout our childhoods.

And many new tales 
involving her brother and sisters 
(including my mother)

Now I'm looking forward 

to transforming her memoir into print 

including photos from her childhood.

Lately I have been doing my computing 

by my kitchen window 

and these finches 

have been brightening my view.

I glean from my 'other' hobby

Family Research.

I've been getting to know my ancestors 

for 20+ years 

through the many avenues of family research.

Recently I attended an eConference and one of the speakers reminded us not to forget our own personal story when we are recording our history.

So with the book in this photo as a guide, I have committed to a weekly block of time 

drafting my own story as a chapter in

our family's history.
