Today I am thankful for . . .

discovery.

We call them 'phones' but
it seems everyday I discover
something more this little COMPUTER can do.

Of course it will come as no surprise
that it is the wonder of the camera
that is occupying my time.

Instagram was a main factor in my decision
to upgrade to iP11.
I have an app on both my
laptop and phone
to create IG posts from my
Canon camera photos and videos
for transferring to IG
since posting has to be with a phone.

Now I have 'discovered' YouTube tutorials
for using the iP11 camera,
which takes quality photos,
to post directly from my iP11

Here is one from yesterday

But . . .
the big discovery is
that my bluetooth keyboard
works with my iP11
(never thought to try it before)

The Morning Skies . . .

have been beautiful of late.

And the rains did come
from these mackerel clouds

Mackerel sky. ... The old rhymes "Mackerel sky, not twenty-four hours dry"
A mackerel sky is a common term for a sky with rows of cirrocumulus or altocumulus clouds displaying an undulating, rippling pattern similar in appearance to fish scales; this is caused by high altitude atmospheric waves. Wikipedia

Beautiful Bird . . .

not so beautiful name . . .

Title for these photos:
"God's Palette
Grackles in Silhouette "

Image result for grackleThe avian genus Quiscalus contains six of the ten species of grackle, gregarious passerine birds in the icterid family. They are native to North and South America. The genus was named and described by the French ornithologist Louis Jean Pierre Vieillot in 1816. Wikipedia

If You Need It . . .

They probably have it.
Sharing God's creation
and what man does with it.

Re-purposing? . . .

As I crested the hill
at a country cemetery,
this is what I saw.

Shy of What's Needed . . .

to safely ice skate this winter atMuldoon

Saltwater but . . .

No Ocean Nearby.

The melted water on the driveway
may have been a little salty from ice treatment
or plain from melting snow.
But whichever, this gray squirrel
lapped it up for quite a while.

Lunch and a Drive

 a Bright and Sunny Yesterday

Welcome to the ♫Rolling Hills of PA♫

Thankful for good food

 and nature's beauty

Much of the terrain in this area
is a result of the Moraine
created along the edge of a glacier

yes, as in Heinz Ketchup

Just love weathered wood

Still licensed?
Waiting to 'spring' into action???

Yes, super thankful
for the area
we have been
blessed to live in
and sharing it with you.

A Bird of . . .

Many Voices

Northern Mockingbird
We often see them in other seasons
 but not normally in winter.
Moving in on the woodpecker.
Speaking of which, it looks like they have been pecking away at the dogwood branch.

Some of Us . . .

Still have septic tanks

While sparing the internal engineering details;
today I am thankful for
the beauty that appeared externally.

As the snow began to melt
this formation appeared
on the lid which is smooth.

Now the birds do peck at fallen seeds
but I don't think even they are
clever enough to create this design.

In the Afternoon

atMuldoon

What is the phase of the moon today?
The Moon today is in a Waning Gibbous Phase. This is the first phase after the Full Moon occurs. It lasts roughly 7 days with the Moon's illumination growing smaller each day until the Moon becomes a Last Quarter Moon with a illumination of 50%.
