♫ Praise Him, Praise Him ...
all ye little children. God is love, God is love. (repeat) ♫
(a Sunday school song from my childhood)
Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
---Psalm 95:1
"What words are on your lips? Singing is such a wonderful gift! First, it is a gift from God to us, to help us express our joy, excitement, sorrow, and victory. Second, it is a gift from us to God, to help us communicate our respect, appreciation, love, and confidence in God. So let's sing, praising God for what he has done, proclaiming what he will do, and sharing what he is currently doing in our lives!"

Response to January Tidy Up
Home Improvement
Over the next couple months I will be sharing my journey of creating a guest room and/or place of solitude between visitors here,
As a result this week's photos are anything but easy on the eye but my purpose is to establish 'the before'; share the progress over time and the final reveal.
Blank canvas reveal . . .
Over the next couple months I will be sharing my journey of creating a guest room and/or place of solitude between visitors here,

The dimensions are 9x13. Not a large room
But with the right number and dimensions of pieces
it can be comfortable without feeling crowded.
This antique secretary, which my Grandmother passed on to me
will probably remain. Along with a double bed,
small stand and comfortable chair.
Time will tell
First on the agenda is woodwork repair
as a result of window replacement.
(too easy to camouflage these shortcomings with curtains
and then tend to forget about them)
Pretty obvious the closet doors need refinished (maybe painted)
and hardware upgrade
Leftover sticker on the back of the door;
off it comes.
So this is where I will begin; hopefully this week
Thankfully, nothing major, and all things I can tackle myself.

The Dawn of a New Year 01 Jan 2017
John 1:14
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
1 Corinthians 13:12
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

Day Trip on a Snowy Morning
and a Mystery Visitor at Home
spied these two horses with there wooly winter coats
as we rode through the countryside about an hour north.
and a mystery visitor at the feeding station this morning.
Solid black all over with a gray bill.
Slightly smaller than a robin and slightly larger than a junco.
Can anyone identify it?
