Friends?

On a day trip to Pymatuning State Park and Lake,
we spied this domestic goose.
Graylag Goose ???

It headed toward these Canada Geese.

But was just ignored.

Still following them

And still being ignored.

When alone; fend for yourself.

  1. I think there is some goose discrimination going on here! Nice set of pictures.

    1. I read that when identifying the lone goose. The RG thought is may have joined the flock and flew in from a farm.

  5. Hello!:) They are splendid guards, they make just as much noise as a dog, or even more when strangers approach. We always have two, and also enjoy their eggs. The one in your photo, has been snubbed alright, but I hope it finds one of it's own kind to be friends with.:))
