Barns: The New and the Old 010316

Another look at this farm
Focusing on the Barns in this shot.
Contrasting the New and the Old

Nice contrasts for Black and White too.

From a photography standpoint
the fence serves as a horizontal line leading the eye to the barn.

 Wishing everyone a
filled with Joy!

  1. Happy New Year Gayle! Thanks for sharing this pristine and weathered barn...nice contrast. Happy barn hunting in 2016.

  2. Interesting contrast, especially this time of year when we pause a minute to look back at the old year and look forward to the new. I like the fence, too!
    Happy New Year!

  3. Was happy to see where I was one of your first stops when you started to blog. I am very pleased and would love having you back anytime. I find great joy in meeting new people on line and blogging. Have made many unseen friends. I love old barns. You did a great job with these.

  4. Oh, I do so like this place...love that old barn and that nice fence. And I would love to have the smaller barn building to have for a quilt studio!

  6. That barn has character, but it looks like it could use some maintenance. If the roof leaks the barn will not last long. Fine photos.

  7. It is nice that the owners have saved the old one. Seeing the contrast is lovely and unusual. We do not see the old and new together very often.
